Tuesday's Look {boots, boots}

"They're my new, "I don't need a job, I don't need my parents, I've got great boots" boots."
can anyone tell me what that's off of??

I'm quite obsessed with boots right now, and I got me a pair last week! I've been pinning them for quite some time so I thought you might enjoy a collection that I've pinned on my stylepinboard.

Weekend Recap {Giants Game & the Market}

We decided to go to the Giants game this weekend

they have a gorgeous stadium!

we stopped by the market

i am a sucker for packaging and I was obsessed with this little shop!

this was actually a cute little "date".. and it was quite convenient b/c we were actually headed in the wrong direction to find the bart. Apparently, he talked her into sitting there with him on the bench to offer free advice. a unique kinda date.. and you could tell she seemed out of her element but they looked like they were having a good time!

{Monday mornin' thought} Meet Taleah

Meet Taleah.....
I got a call while I was out running errands on Saturday from my sister saying "have you heard about Tosha's little girl".. right there my stomach sank and that pit feeling came...  she is one of my best friends who lived in TN with me until they moved to St. George right before our freshman year.

It breaks my heart to see such a sweet family have to go through this, but I have high hopes that she will be fine in the end! Keep Taleah, and their family in your prayers, please

Word on the street {slobber & cell phones}

Fisher Price has a new toy in the works!
Lexi is alwaysssss chewing/gumming on cords & my cell phone!
She has already ruined a laptop charger & the speaker on my cell phone comes & goes at times..
so seeing that someone is finally coming out with something to protect/entertain the little one without damaging my goods makes me really happy!

"The best part of the Laugh & Learn iCan Play case is the little piece of plastic that covers up the “home” button. If you’ve tried giving a child your iPhone without this protection, you know how frustrating it can be when your child keeps hitting the home button and getting taken out of the app.
Fisher Price has a series of apps designed for babies six-months and up, though there are many other options available in the iTunes App Store.

If you’ve succumbed to the temptation to give your baby your iPhone, the iCan Play case will be a must-have accessory when it comes out this summer for $14.99."
i'll keep you posted on pillow thoughts facebook when i find anymore details out on release dates.

now i'm hoping they come out with something similar for the ipad..  that would be perfect!

Friday's Film {Kylie & Spencer}

Ok, before I hand it over to Kylie for a guest post.. I found her blog like 3 years ago through blog hopping from a friends blog (actually 2 different friends) but Kylie & Spencer have lived all around the world living their life & they photograph everything along the way! I fell in love with how well they document everything and so I wanted to share them with all of you! I know you will love it!

My name is Kylie from the blog Spencer and Kylie

Spencer and I met in college and he fell in love with me when I was at the ripe age of 18. I convinced him to take me on a date a while later (trust me… long story) and after a year of dating we got married when I was 20 and he was 24. When we got married, we knew we were going places.

My husband and I currently live in Ecuador, and most recently moved from Peru. We are filming for humanitarian organizations throughout South America and primarily spend our time in rural communities working closely with families. While we were in Peru we were able to film a humanitarian expedition, where volunteers from the United States came to help build a school. It was a very rewarding experience. Enjoy!

ok, its me again... Lindsey.. I HIGHLY recommend checking out some more films by Spencer here
his work is amazing!

Thursday's Tip {Bye-Bye Paci, Binky, whatever you call them}

Ok, so I haven't quite accomplished this task.. I said I would do it when Lexi turned one.. then we went on vacay for almost 2 weeks and I knew we would need it, it's kinda a life saver, that thing!
Then I made another excuse b/c we are out in Cali.. well I have come pretty close to not keeping the paci with us 24/7 and one night without it (she had already been asleep)

anyways, MY GOAL...  paci-be-gone by the time I head back to Idaho..
I know this needs to be a cut & dry kinda deal so I am just going to have to prep myself to be ready!
anyone want to do it with me?!? ok so i'm not going to hold my self to it by the time i get back b/c i might need the little thing for the flight home.. but I do want to do this sooner than later.. wish me luck!

in the meantime here's a fun and clever thing I have found on the internet that applies to older ones

Bye-Bye paci party:
you tie all the paci's to balloons and let the kids set them free for other babies in heaven
I thought it was pretty clever!

check out the sweet dad thighs in this video..

if you want to see more videos of people who have done this just youtube it- there are about a million different families trying it!

{Tuesday's Look} Kim Kardashian & Heidi Klum on the Smokey Eye Tutorial

I felt it was only right to start off with a clip from Kim Kardashian's wedding over the weekend

so i really like this tutorial.. I am not one to really pull off the smokey eye in grays & blacks.. but I apply the same technique to the more golden tones..

I'm not too much into the whole brands either.. I almost always get my makeup at Walgreens.. they normally always have a bogo 1/2 off or something to that extent..

I guess I do kinda stick to Maybelline or Loreal.. but that's just because my mom used to work for them & we used to have endless makeup supplies from them at home.

I don't always have to have eye shadow on, so for those day i just use my concealer stick (religiously before i put anything on top) and rub that in and brush over with whatever powder i'm using to keep my eyes coated the same as my face. more natural looking to me.

I also use the cheapest stick of the blackest eye liner & I do put that on top & bottom lid line,
that's just my preference and I feel naked without eyeliner!
- If I were to put only 1 thing on my eyes it would most likely be that!

Here's what I am using at home.. both were bought who knows how long ago and my favorite is about gone! and go figure it says "limited edition" & i had tried looking in stores for it but nada.. but when i was looking for images last night I did find it on e-bay.. but im not sure if thats weird or not to buy makeup off e-bay??? ya, kinda weird to me.

{Monday mornin' thought} A day in San Fransisco

We only have a couple days where we can actually go and enjoy a "full city day" while we are in San Fransisco.. so this is what our first trip to the city was like..

we set off to explore the Golden Gate Bridge and accidentally landed at Bakers Beach..
it was the best accident we could have encountered!
and FYI if you ever want to dare to go visit this place make sure it is quite cold b/c apparently it is a clothing-optional beach as well.. yikes hahah
on a more family friendly note i guess princess diaries was filmed here for one of their scenes as well.

It had some gorgeous views and we, as a family of 3, took a nice little walk on the beach while enjoying a very scenic route!

We didn't quite dress for how chilly it was that day but it made me feel like Fall was already here, and i'm actually ok with that!
not the best family picture but we will take what we can get

our next stop was Ellis & Post where we parked.

All the big shopping is in this area.. so after some shopping we took the cable cars to meet up on the other end (Hyde & Beach) where the Fishermans Wharf is.

There are different cable cars you can take and we took the Powell-Hyde line which is more scenic..
you drive past Lumbard Street and end at Ghirardelli Square.
top view of Lumbard Street
We hit up a couple more shops..
we bought little lexi some cute tiny toms this week

after that we met up with one of my best friends Bre and her family
we went to Dinner then headed to Ghirardelli Square for dessert..
Ty grabbed some chocolate and I grabbed a delicious cup of hot cocoa to go and then we headed back where we waited in line to board the cable cars to head back

the sun was going down and it was definitely getting more chilly..
the hot cocoa was perfect and went quickly!
you could see the Golden Gate Bridge and AlCatrez from where we were and listened to a local strum out different San Fransisco songs.. it was quite nice!

Lexi also hadn't napped all day but she did suprisingly well and loved the ride, she oohed and ahhed the entire way back

{Thursday's Tip} Shopping for the Little One

Yesterday we spent it settling in.. we are now in San Francisco {area} if I haven't mentioned that on this blog.. we are here for 3 weeks while Ty works and in between his school semesters. We were just going to grab a bite at Chipotle..

but it turned into a mini shopping trip.. seriously he took me to the cutest little area of outdoor shopping so he had to have known what he was going to get himself into. We went with another one of our couple friends... Lexie & Garret (the ones who were with us in LA when we met Rob Dyrdek) Well she is 20'ish weeks prego now so we hit up some of the unique little one shops!

First off Five Little Monkeys
Super cute little shop.. How cute is this little Rody! She loves to sit on just about anything all by her self.. she couldn't figure out how to get off of it.. might be a winner! :)

Next stop.. giggle

We got Lexi's first toothbrush.. she only has her 2 little bottom teeth but I figured she's 1 now so I better start getting her used to the idea.

they had some seriously cute stuff in here.. i was obsessed with this Mamaroo bouncer!
it's like 1/2 the size of what we used for our swing and it does EVERYTHING, super stylish too i might add.  We got a pink swing for little Lexi.. something that isn't going to work for a baby boy.. so i wish they would have made these a year ago. I would take the one on the right, please!

Another one on the list but somewhere I hit up yesterday morning was Buy Buy Baby
it's like a Pregnant womans dream in there.. I seriously could have got everything I needed in that store!! It's also nice for moms.. but it's easy not to go completely ape wall b/c we have 98% of the stuff we need already. I did pick up a cute little sippy cup though & some snacks for her.

Have you heard of Amazon mom?!
If you haven't you need to go check it out! B/c you can get some amazing deals not to mention free 2 day shipping on a lot of nice items!! Click here for details! It gets kinda tricky on what they allow you to have the free 2 day shipping so make sure you read carefully.. but if you are looking for bargains I would totally check it out! Amazon always has good prices for tons of products! I have bought MANY things on here.. and I was able to get free 2 day shipping on a baby shower gift & got it just in time!
