Thursday's Tip {Family Flip Book}

I am going to be sharing a lot more photo projects here on this little blog..

I hardly ever print out images unless it is for some type of project.. I still haven't done anything with our last family pictures we took.. which will change in the near future.

Anyways, this little photo project was on my to-do list before Christmas and I actually got it done the week I put it on my to-do list. But I am just now getting around to sharing it. I wanted a more personal book where Lexi could learn some of her closest relatives since we don't see all of them in person on a regular basis.. (we do skype often) I still need to get some family members added but since I decided I was going to do it asap before I got side tracked I just used pictures I already had of family members.

Here is the family flip book I designed... I just printed the images at our local photo shop.. I wanted them a certain size so I made it a little more complicated but I really wanted them printed on photo paper b/c I think photo paper is best at showing true color.. then I took it to our local print shop and had them laminate & spiral bound it. The whole project I would guess was less than $15. The most expensive part was customizing my photos to be 5x5.. they charged me a little extra for that. But I got out of the copy shop only spending maybe $3-$5 i think??

Things I learned:
1. Be careful of which image you put on the spiral bound side.. half of my head ended up getting spiral bounded.. it's not that big of deal.. but something I would maybe change next time.
2. You will have to glue stick or whatever you want to use the two photos back to back to get them laminated so there is an image on front & back..

I also added a little page for a picture of Lexi  and put "Lexi (me)".. so she could learn herself.
Oh, and I added a pic of diggy.. he was just important!
