new year, new home

Last year around this time we had just moved to Texas, we signed a year lease on a rental and wanted to make sure Texas was good for us and that way we could feel out the area. For the last probably 5 months we have been searching for our new place to call home. Looking at about a billion houses and different areas. The realtor apps definitely became my bff and it certainly added on way more stress on top of having a newborn in the house!

BUT, somehow every little kink and worry seemed to work itself out!
Thankful for this home is an understatement!

One of my worries about moving away from the city we were in was that I was going to have to find a new preschool for Lexi. Back in November when we first started looking at this house I looked around and ended up only really liking one and put her on the wait list. Since that time we had backed out of the idea of even going with this house and kept looking elsewhere. After looking elsewhere, we just kept coming back to this home. I had come to the realization that I was just going to have her start school back when Kindergarten started. Well one day last month I get a phone call and it's the pre-school and they had an opening for February... then a couple of hours later I hear from Ty that the lender called and everything was going through! Meant to be? Heck yes!

We are pretty stinkin excited to finally have a home!
I am especially excited to PAINT!!
(I need my gray walls)
Sadly we didn't catch it in time to customize anything other than the stain on the front door and garage, and the carpet color.. so I'm excited to put our own touches on things and make it actually feel like our home that reflects our style! I have plenty of visions for projects and I'm pretty sure I stress my husband out just talking about it all haha but eventually... the visions are going to start coming to life and I'll be excited to share some of those happenings with all of you!
It's been a while since I've done home styled post!
(except for Zoey's nursery)

Here are some pics I snapped from when we first laid eyes on it up until we closed on it!
since one of the only things we got to pick out was the stain on the outside wood --
we made them fix the color of the garage..
it came out different then what we had showed them we wanted
much better!!

our realtor sent us this pic from our final walk through day
